Girl's lucky escape after Paris fun ride goes wrong

A young girl was left perilously dangling 50m above the ground in Paris while riding a popular fun ride.

Video captured her ordeal on the Throne Fair attrraction in the French capital on Sunday, reports franceblue.

Footage shows the girl starting her zipline-style ride when a safety harness appears to break, leaving her suspended by her feet and dangling with her head towards the ground.

She continued swinging through the air narrowly missing a steel structure.

Concerned bystanders are shown looking upwards as several men attempt to grab her and slow her momentum.

Eventually a man managed to grab the girl's arm and she was later rescued.

"It could have been much more serious ... It is a miracle if the girl was not hurt," the director of the Throne Fair ride told France Bleu.
