'Ghost' streaks across field at German Cup final

Football fans watching last week's German Cup final were left rubbing their eyes in disbelief as a shadow appeared to streak across the field leading some viewers to think they had seen a ghost.

The 'ghostly apparition' appeared to come out of nowhere and dashed across an unoccupied part of the pitch before vanishing into thin air.

The players seemed unaware of any supernatural presence in the game that Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich went on to win 2-0 against rivals Borussia Dortmund.

It is not the first time football watchers have suggested that a ghost has appeared at a game.

Earlier this month media organisations around the world reported that a 'ghost' was filmed running through the stands during a football match in Bolivia.
