Football fan beaten by Brazilian police

Brazilian police have been filmed aggressively beating a football fan with batons just months out from when the country will host the FIFA World Cup.

The incident was reportedly secretly filmed after a fight broke out between rival fans in Goias on Sunday, the Metro reports.

Vision clearly shows four officers simultaneously beating a lone man who is hunched over.

The officers are now under investigation but no charges have been laid.

FIFA said security plans will be put in place ahead of the World Cup in June.

"For the World Cup, a thorough security plan will be part of an integrated operation by private and public entities to guarantee the safety of fans, players and all participant of the event," FIFA said.
