A woman who live streamed herself driving drunk in the US is facing DUI charges.

A man named Sandy called emergency services after seeing Whitney Marie Beall, 23, broadcasting herself on Periscope driving drunk through Lakeland, Florida, the Tampa Tribune reports.

In the video, Ms Beall allegedly slurred her words, told the audience how drunk she was and alternated between filming herself and the road ahead of her.

“I think I have a flat tyre, which is horrible,” she said to the camera.

“This song is so hot.”

Sandy told the 911 operator everything he could about Ms Beall and sent them a link to her Periscope video.

Police caught up with her after locating her personal Twitter account and identifying landmarks in the area.

She was driving with a flat tyre and hit the curb when police attempted to pull her over.

Ms Beall allegedly failed a sobriety test and refused a breath test to determine her blood alcohol level.

She was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence.
