Firefighters called after boy’s foot becomes trapped beneath revolving door in Northern China

A 10-year-old boy has found himself in a rather awkward position after his foot became stuck under a revolving door at a restaurant in northern China.

Firefighters were called to the venue in Gaoping, Shanxi Province after learning of the boy’s unusual predicament, CCTV reports.

While attempting attempted to calm the boy and his mother, the rescuers set about devising a method for freeing him.

Removing his shoe, they then attempted to expand the space between the door and the frame.

The painful ordeal drew to a close 10 minutes later after firefighters managed to raise the boy’s foot out of the interspace, freeing him.

Video of the rescue operation shows the child’s mother helping him to his feet and holding him up upright.

It’s not known how the boy got his foot lodged under the door in the first place.
