One injured after fire engulfs passenger bus in Paris

A large fire has destroyed a passenger bus and injured one person in Paris. 

The fire erupted around 4.50am (AEST) in the city's north-eastern suburb of Tremblay, BNO news reports. 

Footage from the scene captured witnesses watching on as thick smoke billowed from the bus.

Local fire officials reportedly said the blaze was sparked by an engine fire that quickly spread.

There is no word on how many people were on the bus at the time, but the news outlet reports one person suffered minor injuries.

Police said there are no links to terrorism.
