Passengers were evacuated and the police were called into the main hall at Gare du Nord after a World War Two shell on board a Eurostar train in Paris on Sunday.

The scare caused two trains to be delayed yesterday while police worked to contain the scene, the BBC reports.

The shell was believed to have been brought on board by a passenger.
