Man tackles escaped bear

What's the best way to capture an escaped bear? Apparently not with nets or tranquiliser guns, but with your bare hands (no pun intended).

This video purportedly shows a young bear on the run in Chechnya after it escaped captivity.

The bear, called Vasya by one onlooker, rampages down a street towards a fearless man who stands in its way to tackle it instead of sensibly fleeing for his life.

Animal lovers may be shocked by the treatment of the bear, which is eventually subdued.

Commenters on LiveLeak, where the video was watched more than 55,000 times, speculate that the bear is wearing a muzzle and may have already been shot with tranquiliser darts when it was caught.
