English daredevil's vertigo-inducing backflip

Not content with scaling a 115m-plus bridge without ropes or climbing gear, an English daredevil has performed a death-defying backflip on top of the structure.

But it ended badly for ‘freerunner’ James Kingston, the Daily Mail reports.

He was arrested by police as he descended from the Moscow Bridge in the Ukrainian capital Kiev in January.

Footage of the vertigo-inducing stunt shows the nimble thrillseeker scale the suspension bridge without the assistance of rope or any safety equipment.

When he reaches the top he performs a backflip knowing that the slightest slip will send him tumbling to certain death.

But the “English spiderman” nails the stunt and lives to tell the tale.

However, Kingston’s joy may have been shortlived as police were waiting with sirens blaring before he and a photographer had even reached the ground.

Despite protesting that they were just photographers snapping panoramic views of the Kiev the police bundled the pair into a police car and drove away.
