Taxi driver survives crash into building

A taxi driver in Korea has managed to escape with his life after going on a wild joyride that was only brought to an end when he crashed into the side of a building.

The 60-year-old was taking a leisurely drive when the car suddenly accelerated out of control, according to the description of the video uploaded to LiveLeak.

Footage from the taxi's camera shows the panic stricken driver fruitlessly attempting to control the wayward vehicle with no luck.

The white-knuckle ride eventually ends with the car careering into the side of a Chinese restaurant.

Thankfully, the driver emerged unscathed albeit a little shaken.
