Thousands of ducks released to swarm rice paddies in Thai tradition

Ducks might rarely be thought of as traditionally majestic, but scenes from Thailand's rice harvest could change that perception.
Drone footage has been captured of the annual event in Nakhon Pathom near Bangkok.
Following the rice harvest, 10,000 ducks are set loose from a pen to devour pests and bugs in the paddies.

The vision shows them swarming forward en masse to the fields.
Thailand is a major producer of rice, but has been suffering a long drought.
