Drone captures man sunbathing on top of wind turbine

A holidaymaker's drone has captured the bizarre sight of a man sunbathing on top of a 70 metre-high wind turbine.

Kevin Miller, who was vacationing in Rhode Island, US, discovered the man lying on top of the massive turbine after he sent his drone up to take footage of the structure on Wednesday, the Daily MirrorDaily Mirror.

Mr Miller had earlier noticed the maintenance door was open at the bottom and assumed someone must be inside doing work.

"The guy must have been napping because he did not notice the drone for five or ten seconds - but once he heard it he sat up to take a look,” Mr Miller said.

"Upon landing he saw me bring the drone down and was leaning over the edge. I looked up and waved to him and he waved back."
