Driver smashes into other car after parking lot dispute turns ugly

Frightening footage has emerged showing the moment a driver violently crashed his car into another vehicle in a dispute over a parking spot.

The incident happened on Saturday during Children’s Day at a shopping centre in Recife, Brazil.

The video of the clash shows two groups screaming at each other over the disputed spot.

Unsatisfied as to where the argument is going, one of the drivers decides to escalate the matter by hopping into his car and reversing at high speed into the other man’s vehicle.

Two men can be seen leaping out of the way with a fraction of a second to spare as the silver hatchback ploughs into the other vehicle.

Several security guards were brought in to physically restrain the men and take them into custody.

According to a statement from the shopping centre’s security company, the guards were eventually able to calm down the men and get an “agreement between the parties”, the Diario de Pernambuco news website reports.
