Woman with tumbleweed phobia has meltdown

This video's opening caption "my girlfriend has a phobia of tumbleweeds" is a shocking understatement – it's more like a debilitating terror.

A mischievous boyfriend has posted a hilarious video of his girlfriend having a "nervous breakdown" as she drives through hundreds of bushes blowing across an unidentified US highway.

Confronted with her fear, the driver begins to unravel as the first few bushes sweep across the bitumen.

"I don't want to be in this. Baby I can't breathe," she says.

But the horror has only just begun as more and more bushes appear and her boyfriend's calm assurances do nothing to quell the terror.

"Oh my God, I just want to be home," she says. "I can't do this. I'm freaking the f--- out."

The couple are eventually forced to pull over when one of the tumbleweeds becomes stuck on the windscreen.
