Driver killed in flour truck crash

A Russian truck driver carrying a trailer full of flour has died after he crashed through a fence and into a block of units.

Video footage of last week’s fatal accident in Saratov shows the driver veering off the road as he negotiates a bend.

The truck was carrying a load of flour and a thick plume of white powder engulfs the street as it smashes into the building.

The truck crashes just metres from a pedestrian who can be seen frantically running to the other side of the road as he is engulfed in flour.

The truck driver was the only fatality in the accident and no one else was injured, Saratov News reports.
