Dolphin swims down London's Thames

London water police have spotted a dolphin splashing in the bustling city's River Thames.  

"Marine 2 got a tantalising glimpse of the Thames #Dolphin at Wandsworth this morning," the marine policing unit tweeted today.

The officers urged other river users to give the dolphin space, but struggled to keep their own boat at a distance because the dolphin kept approaching.

They tweeted a picture of the dolphin near their boat, and noted they had turned their engine off.
