Dog owner slammed for laughing at scared pet

A dog owner has come under fire online for delighting in dragging his terrified pet across a glass-bottomed walkway.

The footage, taken in China, showed the dog trying with all its might not to be taken across the clear, tall bridge.

It refused to move, and had to be hauled across by its lead.

The owner and other walkers laughed hysterically at the pooch's plight.

Commentators have attacked the owner for being "ignorant and cruel".

"Now let's hold you off a tall building and pretend to drop you while everyone laughs. Now that would be funnier," said a user on website LiveLeak, where it first appeared.

"The dog appears to be the smartest one in the bunch," said another.

It is unclear exactly where the footage was taken, but some have speculated it was at the observation deck at Longgang National Geological Park, in the city of Chongqing.
