The modern miracle of 3D printing has given a young dachshund born without all her legs a chance to run with her friends.

Bubbles was born last July without her two front legs, but her owners were determined to help her, the Huffington Post has reported.

Trevor Byers and Elissa Smoak at first tried to build wheelchairs for Bubbles, working off plans online.

However, nothing quite worked - until they came across 3D printing.

The couple purchased a 3D printer of their own and worked on their own designs until they developed a two-wheeled "cart" which fit perfectly.

"She gets around in her cart better than any other small dog I have seen missing their front legs," Mr Byers wrote in an online post.

He offered to help other pet owners solve mobility issues for their furry friends.

"My wife and I want to share what we have learned in hope that a dog won't be thrown to the curb due to this simple disability," he said.
