Dashcam videos shows motorists fleeing their cars after Bangkok blast

Dashcam videos have emerged showing the moment a bomb exploded at a shrine in Bangkok, killing at least 19 people.

One video shows motorists stopped at an intersection before the sound of the blast cracked through the air and a flash of light illuminated the sky.

Pedestrians can be seen fleeing across the road.

Another video was posted to Facebook by Pimornrat Nana Puttayot, who said he was stopped in traffic at the Ratchaprasong intersection, a Bangkok shopping district, at the time.

As the blast ripped through the silence, car horns began to sound and people could be seen running from their cars.

At least 19 people have been killed and more than 100 injured in the blast, which authorities believe was targeted at “foreigners” in an attempt to damage the tourist trade.

No one has claimed responsibility for the attack.
