An Indonesian migrant worker has been killed by a crocodile on his day off in Malaysia.

The 22-year-old had earlier been reported missing by staff at the plywood factory where he worked, on October 30.

A spokesman for the Agency for the Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers, Muhammad Fuad Wahyudi, also confirmed the man's death, saying he had been "mauled" by a "huge crocodile".

Mr Nasution's body was returned to Indonesia on the weekend, where it was given to his family for burial.
