Costa Rica bullfight sees one participant sent into the air twice

A participant in a bullfight in Costa Rica has been sent flying through the air not once but twice in a fight broadcast on local TV.

The participant was first ejected in the air by a bull, and was quickly helped to his feet by his comrades.

As he ran to escape the bull, checking behind as he scrambled away, another bull was lured to him by his bright red shorts, sending him flying once again by striking his legs.

The bullfight was part of Costa Rican TV channel Teletica’s Toros program.

Costa Rica bullfights don’t result in the bull being slaughtered, with the focus more on participants running from the animal.
