Two men arrested after a face mask brawl broke out on Ibiza flight

Video footage has shown the shocking moment a brawl broke out on board a flight from Amsterdam to Ibiza after two passengers refused to wear face masks.

As the Boeing 737 took off from Amsterdam on Friday, British holiday makers appear to break into a fight.

"Stop now, there are kids over here," a passenger is heard in the video.

A passenger is seen punching one of the mask-less men, while another points and shouts at him.

The men are finally restrained by passengers and staff, one seen pinned to the ground with hands held behind his back.

The video was first posted by Instagram account @michighclub yesterday morning, where it was claimed one of the two passengers was intoxicated at the time.

""Panic and violent brawl," @michighclub said in the Instagram post.

"Unruly English passenger on board KLM flight to Ibiza, he had been drinking Gregus vodka."

Masks are mandatory on KLM flights and at airports in the Netherlands under the country's coronavirus restrictions.

"Two unruly passengers refused to wear their face masks, and they were bothering their fellow passengers physically and verbally," a KLM spokesperson said.

KLM said passengers were checked for masks on boarding and said staff issued reminders during the flight.
