Gangster dispute allegedly behind bizarre 'cockroach attack' on Taiwan eatery
An underworld dispute is believed to be behind a bizarre attack on a Taiwanese eatery that saw more than a thousand cockroaches tossed over the restaurant's floor.
The attack took place on Monday night at G House Taipei, Focus Taiwan reported.
Coincidentally, the restaurant was also hosting a police event with guests including Taipei Police Commissioner Chen Jia-Chang, but investigators ruled that out as a motive.

Just before 7.30pm local time, two men in black broke into the restaurant and threw more than 1000 cockroaches into the air.
They then fled on a scooter.
Police believe five people were involved in the operation, including lookouts and a driver.

Commissioner Chen said it was an act of violence.
Investigators have said early findings suggest the act was carried out by members of the Bamboo Union organised crime ring, to whom the restaurant owner allegedly owes money.
