Clumsy Yankees fan misses three fly balls on live television

A Yankees fan in the US was caught on live television failing to catch three fly balls while on an apparent date.

The fan was sitting with a woman in the front row at the Yankees Stadium in New York on Tuesday night when he fumbled three catches in a row, ABC News reports.

Fans in the stands around him laughed as the man missed a foul ball, then a foul grounder and finally saw himself get hit in the face by a third ball.

The woman next to him attempted to hide her laughter as he fumbled the third ball, thrown to him by a ball boy attempting to give him an easy catch.

The man was reportedly a good sport about the whole incident and leaned down to pick up the missed ball for the ball boy.
