A Chinese toddler has survived after a car ploughed into the house where he was eating dinner, sending his mother into a blind panic.

Video of the incident shows the woman feeding the boy at a small table when bright light begins to penetrate the room.

Behind the light is the vehicle, which arrives so suddenly it's almost as if it's materialised from thin air– seemingly right on top of the baby boy.

The mother leaps to her feet and begins screaming at the driver to back up. Once the car has been reversed, another woman scoops the child, who appears to be moving, up into her arms.

Based on his position it appears the car missed the boy by centimetres – but the glass of blood red wine spilled on the floor must have done nothing for his mother's state of mind in those few moments.
