Canadian TV news station proves why dogs shouldn't do the weather

A Canadian weather presenter was nearly bowled over by an eager shepherd-mastiff as he tried to tell the people of Edmonton about their weekly forecast.

Ripple the dog, fostered by the Edmonton Humane Society, was brought to the set of local news station Global News to promote animal adoption.

But the 18-month-old pooch was much more interested in playing with weather presenter Mike Sobel.

"Are you having fun there?" he asks Ripple before struggling to contain him.
