Can you 'spot the frog'?

Internet users have been left scratching their heads over a photo that claims to show a camouflaged frog.

The picture, recently captured in Goa, India by amateur photographer Yuwaraj Gurjar, on first glance appears to be that of a leafy branch.

Upon closer inspection however, viewers can find a green moss frog hiding in plain view on one of the leaves.

Mr Gurjar said he snapped the frog while observing her building a nest while on a photography expedition through the forests of Goa.

“We were observing the female making her nest. After the nest making she jumped and slept on a nearby branch which was just a metre away,” he told Daily Mail UK.

“The frog was resting and sleeping for quite a long time which gave me the chance to get some good photographs.

“The perfect blending makes this picture beautiful, and that why I love this image.”

Mr Gurjar said that during his travels he also managed to capture an image of another well camouflaged animal: the draco or flying lizard.

Like the frog, the lizard is almost indistinguishable from its surrounds.
