Californian cyclist gets knocked the buck out

A San Francisco cyclist has captured the moment he had a sickening collision with a deer while riding along a coastal road.

The unnamed man was pedalling along Alexander Avenue towards Sausalito in the San Francisco Bay Area when the deer suddenly jumped out in front of him, Unofficial Networks reports.

The collision, recorded on the man's GoPro camera, caused the man to the fly off his bike and hit the concrete with serious force.

While groans of pain can be heard, the man was wearing a helmet and said to only have suffered a mild concussion.

The condition of the unlucky deer is not known.
