Bull leaps over wall and injures four people after being harassed by crowd
At least four people have been injured after a bull leapt into the crowd at a Peruvian bullfight, just moments after spectators had pelted it with beer and rubbish.
Video from the fight in the province of Huancane on Sunday showed the bull angrily circle the arena before making its daring dash for freedom.
Panicked spectators scrambled for safety as the animal charged through the aisles of the stadium, with four members of the crowd injured.
None of the matadors present at the show had reportedly wished to fight the bull due to its “wild nature”, ITV reports.
The fight was being held to mark the closing of a traditional festival to honour the patron saint of Taraco.
Authorities are now investigating security and safety arrangements at the event.
