British forces destroy truck carrying ISIL car bomb

British forces in Iraq have destroyed a speeding truck carrying an ISIL car bomb with a single shot.

An RAF Tornado GR4 bombed the vehicle as it travelled west of Mosul, The Mirrorreports.

Footage released by the Ministry of Defence overnight shows the truck speeding down a highway when it suddenly explodes.

The rocket that obliterated the vehicle moves so fast it cannot be sighted in the aerial footage.

The news comes as the Turkish army killed 32 suspected ISIL fighters in northern Iraq yesterday following an attack on one of its tanks.

Turkish troops destroyed a building used by ISIL, killing 10 jihadists and then killed another 22 fighters who tried to flee the scene, the Anatolia news agency said.
