Brazilian police ram fleeing thieves

Well it wasn't quite the great escape for these Brazilian bandits, after a police chase came to a crashing end.

CCTV footage shows a police car ramming into a pair of thieves trying to make a quick getaway on a motorcycle.

The cop behind the wheel makes a calculated swerve to stop the bandits in their tracks, after which both can be seen flying through the air from the impact.
