Boy rescued after becoming trapped inside claw machine while trying to steal toy

A boy has been rescued after squeezing inside a claw machine in a bid to secure a stuffed animal.

Titusville Fire and Emergency Services posted photos of the trapped boy in Florida to Facebook Wednesday.

"This evening little Mason was enjoying some food and decided he wanted a stuffed animal," the post reads.

"He wanted it so bad, he climbed into the game to get that toy!"

An off-duty fire service lieutenant happened to be on scene and helped coordinate the boy's rescue "with minimal damage to the machine".

Firefighters ensured the boy didn't suffer any distress or injuries during the process, the post read.

According to the post, Mason and his family were able to return to eating dinner immediately after.

"We love a happy ending and are glad everything worked out," it reads.
