Boaters almost decapitated by low flying plane

Three men thrashing around on a lake in Argentina came within inches of being decapitated by an extremely low flying plane as it roared overhead.

The men were partaking in the Largada Fiesta del Surubi in Goya on Sunday.

Highlights of the 40th edition of the fishing festival included a number of angling competitions and an air show.

Footage shot from on board a speed boat as it cruises around a lake shows the terrifying moment a small propeller aircraft zooms above the vessel, narrowly avoiding the men inside.

One of the men appears to laugh as the aircraft speeds past.

It is unclear if the low-flying stunt was part of the air show or if a pilot had gone rogue.
