Hundreds of tourists denied entry into Bali all forgot the same thing
Hundreds of people have been denied entry into Bali this year for failing to have a visa.
A total of 561 foreigners were refused entry to Indonesia via the island destination in the first half of this year, according to local media, and while some were banned, known criminals or wanted by interpol, most simply didn't have a visa.
Based on Ngurah Rai Immigration data, there were 243 foreigners who did not have a visa, and 52 people with a passport validity period of less than six months.

There were 212 on a list as being criminals, 28 who had been banned from Bali and 20 people detected for interpol pursuit.
"The most common reason for rejection is because they don't have a visa," the Head of Immigration Ngurah Rai, Suhendra, said.
The figures make up a tiny fraction of the 2.94 million foreigners entering Indonesia at Ngurah Rai International Airport, which services the island of Bali, in the same period.

Nearly 6.5 million people, both foreigners and Indonesian citizens, including crew, passed through immigration checks on their way in or out of Bali in the first half of this year, an increase of about 25 per cent compared to the same period in 2023.
Australians made up the largest percentage of foreign nationals arriving into Bali by air, followed by India, China, England and South Korea.
In the same time period, 10 Australians were among 66 foreigners deported from Bali.
The most common reason for deportation is, unsurprisingly, overstaying a visa.
