Bald eagle tries to bite Donald Trump during photo shoot

An eagle named Uncle Sam has summed up the feelings of many in the US by attacking Donald Trump during a photo shoot.

In footage which has only just emerged, the US presidential candidate was posing for the cover of TIME Magazine in August when he was asked to stand next to the 27-year-old bald eagle, which had been flown in from Texas.

Looking visibly uncomfortable, Trump first struggles with the handsome bird flapping its wings near his face, causing the billionaire to ask, "how's my hair looking?"

After being seated at a desk next to the eagle, Trump reaches out towards it, causing the bird to try and bite his hand.

Trump instinctively recoils, and in doing so pulls a face the polar opposite of his Make America Great Again campaign slogan.

"This bird is seriously dangerous," Trump says.

Earlier this week Trump called for all Muslims to be barred from entering the US.
