Actor Alec Baldwin has cheekily offered to perform at Donald Trump’s inauguration in January as the president-elect reportedly struggles to secure artists for the ceremony.

Baldwin, who parodies Mr Trump on Saturday Night Live, tweeted to Mr Trump yesterday with an offer to sing AC/DC’s “Highway to Hell”.

The pair have frequently clashed on Twitter over Baldwin’s impersonation of Mr Trump.

The president-elect has dismissed the long-running comedy program as “sad” and “totally one-sided” on Twitter.

Andrea Bocelli and Elton John are among the famed performers rumoured to have turned down requests to sing at Mr Trump’s inauguration.

Meanwhile, Mr Trump tweeted his dismay at celebrity requests for tickets.

Before his tongue-in-cheek offer to sing for Mr Trump, Baldwin reeled off a series of criticisms of the future president.
