Dream come true for 102-year-old woman asked to play with favourite football team

A 102-year-old woman has had her dream to play with her favourite football team come true.

Maria Guadalupe has been a fan of Barcelona Sporting Club in Ecuador since its inception in 1925 – when she was just 11 years old.

She was invited to train with her favourite players from the team and was presented with a personalised shirt, 90 years after first becoming a supporter.

Barcelona is the most successful soccer team in Ecuador, having won the Serie A title a record 14 times.
