Carolina Mccauley shared how to clean your fabric sofa in a TikTok video.  TikTok

In the video, Carolina started by spraying her couch with warm water to make it slightly damp — not too wet!

She then sprinkled a thin layer of baking soda over the cushions and arm rests of the couch.

To make sure that the baking soda can really soak in, she used a damp cloth to work it into the material. This allows it to bring out all of those nasty smells that have been hiding in the material.

Once you've done this, Carolina suggests you let the couch dry completely to let the setting process work its magic.

Next, vacuum off the baking soda, it'll also drag up any crumbs that have become buried in the couch too.

Your last step is to spray the entire couch down with rubbing alcohol to seal in that clean freshness. Now you're ready to go with what looks like a shiny new couch!
