How to give your kitchen sink a deep clean

Are there any more off-putting chores than cleaning the kitchen sink?

From the piles of dirty dishes that can accumulate (it's okay, you can be honest with us), the stains from foods, and the overload of detergents that can dry out your skin in an instant — of course it's a chore we avoid.

But never fear, there are alternatives, and what's even better is that you can get your sink to sparkle in minutes with natural ingredients that you probably already have on hand.

It may sound too good to be true, but TikTok user mama_mila_ has uploaded a video to the social media platform to show just how simple it is.

"So easy you can do it while waiting for your dinner to cook," she captioned the video.

In the clip she uses a variety of natural ingredients to get a gleaming kitchen sink in no time at all.

The video shows the woman sprinkling everyone's favourite cupboard staple, baking soda, over the sink and giving it a light scrub. She then goes on to pour some white vinegar over the sink to help "disinfect" the surface.

Then it's just a matter of rinsing the sink out with water and running half a lemon over the basin to help deodorise, and you're done!

If you want to take things up a notch, you can "buff" your sink with a little bit of baby oil on a cloth to help keep it shining.

With natural hacks like these, it can be so much easier to stay on top of all the cleaning essentials your household requires without the need for heavy chemicals.
