Watercress Creek Olives and Limes
Bernie Mahon, a fourth-generation farmer on a family plot established in 1862 that sits just outside the Ipswich CBD. Bernie and his late wife began growing olives in 1998 and expanded with 800 Tahitian lime trees in 2006. Originally a side project, it has now become his whole life.

Watercress Creek started producing a variety of products, including olive oils, lime cordial, chutneys, jams, and more for the farm gate shop. And with the products came the people. The farm kept on growing as a space for people to enjoy the fresh air and produce, and Bernie loved having them there. So much so that the annual Watercress Creek Olive Festival was created which now celebrates it's 18th anniversary in April 2026.
