Few people understand the pressures of living and working on the land quite like Julie Mayne. After growing up on a cattle farm, and as a single mum, she packed up her two children and started her own farm. But times have been tough with Queensland's most recent, devastating drought. With the days long and the isolation enough "to make you crazy", Julie has found a way to keep herself sane through a creative quest. The result, spectacular sculptures made from scrap metal that are dotted around her isolated and vast property, that will make even the most discerning art critics' jaws drop.
