Former MAFS groom Mick Gould has revealed he is engaged to partner Jean Boyd, coincidentally just a day after his former on-screen wife hard launched her new relationship.
“We did a thing and bought a thing. Soon to be Mr and Mrs Gould. Love ya darl,” Mick, 38, shared, alongside a photo of the moment he got down on one knee.

Mick surprised his fiancee during the pre-settlement inspection of a property they recently purchased.
“The farmer finds a wife! Or something like that. Congrats!” said season three bride Bella Frizza.
“Congrats on finding your person – you had an infectious personality on MAFS and you, of all the people on it during the years, deserved to find your special someone,” said another follower.
“I hope your house is filled with laughter and love always – awesome news.”
The bride-to-be celebrated too, sharing her own post that read: “So it’s going to be forever.”

The couple’s real estate agent captured the humorous moment Mick tricked Jean before proposing.
“Holy s--t, what is that?” he pointed in the distance, getting on his knee while she turned around confused.
“Here doll, I got you something,” he then said.
“What do you reckon, Jean Fae Boyd? Should we change it to a Gould or what?”
Unsurprisingly, Jean said yes.

It was a sweet happy ending for the former TV groom, whose time in the experiment was far from smooth sailing.
Mick was paired with Jessika Power, 33, during 2019’s season 6, who famously chose to stay in the experiment so she could pursue an affair with another groom, Dan Webb, behind her husband’s back.

Just a day before Mick’s proposal was revealed, Jess shared a lengthy tribute to new partner Liam Neilson on Instagram.
Jess said there had been “no games, no wondering where you stand, no trying to shrink yourself to make someone else comfortable,” she said.
“Just laughter, support, endless banter and someone who makes even the most ordinary moments feel like my favourite part of the day.”

Jess’ post featured a video of the loved-up pair talking and kissing.
“Thank you @jamieneilson__ for reminding me that the healthiest relationships don’t have to be the hardest ones. Thank you for making me laugh until my stomach hurts, for believing in me, and for being exactly who you are,” she said.
“Here’s to all the adventures, the memories we’re yet to make, and seeing where this crazy little thing called life takes us.”
