MAFS' Melinda Willis reveals where she stands with ex Layton Mills 8 months after their breakup in Instagram Q&A
Married At First Sight Season 10's Melinda Willis has addressed her break-up with Layton Mills in an Instagram Q&A with fans.
Melinda and Layton confirmed their split in October 2023, weeks after celebrating their one year anniversary.

During her Q&A, Melinda admitted her DMs had been "flooded" with questions about Layton so she wanted to share an update on where they stood.
"We don't currently talk, no. Things, I would say, didn't get left on the best terms and I think from my side it was best to stop contact," she explained.

She said it was "hard to talk about" and she still felt protective over Layton and did not want "things to be taken in the wrong way".
"I believe that we went through enough to still be amicable if we ran into each other, if we needed something from each other," she said.
"I still like to protect him when I can when I see something online, I will still go at a troll if I need to to protect him.
"But in regards to actually talking to each other, we don't. When we broke up I stopped contact and that was just for me and my mental [health] because everything was just all a bit too much."
Another fan questioned whether she saw them every reuniting in the future, writing "never say never, right?".

"You don't know what could happen in the future and some days I'll catch myself thinking about Layton or thinking about if time will change anything and all of that," Melinda agreed.
"But again, I haven't heard from Layton so I don't think there's anything happening right now, sorry to break it to you guys."

Melinda also shared in response to another question that she is still "very single".
"I think since doing MAFS, I know what I want and I learnt a lot in that and I'm not going to settle, you know?" she said.

In October, Melinda and Layton announced they had broken up in a social media statement.
"Hi all. We wanted to keep this private for the time being, but we have a lot of supporters that are invested in the relationship and owe it to you to be transparent," they wrote.
"After a lot of thought and consideration, we have sadly decided to both take time apart."
