While she smiled through her workout with husband Gareth Brisbane, Mel said working out was far from what she felt like doing.

"Three days into my fifth chemo cycle, I'm tired, nauseous and very foggy brained... but I'm battling hard with the big guy!" she wrote.

"Sometimes you just have to do the thing you least feel like doing, for your own good."

Mel's post struck a cord with her followers, who praised her effort and also shared their own stories.

"You're amazing! I'm day three round four here and like you feeling nauseous, tired, wiped… but we move!!!" one follower shared.

She revealed that keeping her body moving had been a huge help during her treatment.

"Even a simple walk outside in the fresh air has been amazing therapy for me," Mel shared.

It comes after Mel revealed that going through chemotherapy "feels like being hungover" on UK radio station Magic Radio in April 2024.

But Mel said that despite not feeling her best, she's "here to fight".

"I'm just now trying to find the way to juggle everything, because I'm not stopping working. This thing is not beating me, I'm here to fight, I just need to make some adaptions," she said.

It was a big thumbs up from Mel who had her tumour removed in December.  Instagram

Mel shared her cancer diagnosis in December 2023.

She's since had the tumour removed and in January told 9Entertainment she was thrilled to be well enough to film the latest season of MAFS UK.

"I wasn't sure how things were going to go, so for me it was such a joy to be well enough and strong enough to be there straight away," she said.
