Watch: Cody opens up about his downfalls in past relationships in MAFS audition tape
Cody is an easy-going guy from Sydney's Northern Beaches, but he hasn't found relationships as cruisy. This is why he joined Married At First Sight to help him in the love department.
Throughout the experiment with Selina, Cody has been honest about struggling with his words and communication style.

The 30-year-old admitted he has some things to work on in relationships, which he opened up about that in his exclusive audition tape.
"I get quite opinionated and stubborn with a few things," he said in the video, which you can watch above.

"So I think, finding that common ground is something I've definitely tried to work on a bit more. Also, if I get an idea in my head, I really push towards it, and so often, I won't listen."
Cody admitted he can be quite the difficult person to get along with.
"I'm a bit of a pest… I do struggle to admit when I'm wrong… but I'm getting better at it, I'm starting to be the bigger man," he said.

Having lost his father when he was 15, Cody put his walls up, rarely allowing himself to show vulnerability, especially in relationships. In the past Cody has avoided serious relationships and pushed away any partners who wanted a deeper commitment.
"I'm pretty selfish," Cody admitted.
"I've got a good career… I do look after myself. I've got a good balance, I've got a really good lifestyle, an amazing network of friends."

But the personal trainer wanted to put his trust in the experts to help him navigate a relationship.
"I think it's a really good opportunity, finding someone that's on the same page," he said.
"I want someone who's willing to just go along for the ride and not overthink things."
There is a moment during the interview where the producer had to stop and point out a visitor lurking in the background.

One of Cody's friends pressed up against the window in a Spider-Man costume behind him.
"You've got a little friend behind you," the producer pointed out.
