8 must-know LEGO storage hacks for your home
Unfortunately, we can't all have a designated Brick Pit filled with over three million colour-sorted LEGO® pieces.
However, you can have fun sorting your own LEGO collection at home, no matter the size and type.
Here are a few ways to get creative with your LEGO storage to spark joy and imagination in any builder!

DIY LEGO table
Find a cheap table and superglue LEGO mats on top. If there's a drawer underneath for storage, great!
But for even easier access, get a tub that slides under when not in use and can be simply pulled out to sit alongside the table when it is. A single cube is also great, as the storage can slide under when not in use.
Hanging buckets
Add a towel rail to the side of a table and pop hanging buckets on the side, so you can easily reach commonly used pieces.

Colour code
Get a storage unit like this one from IKEA with loads of simple pull-out storage drawers and sort blocks by colours, just like the teams on LEGO Masters do! This is an amazing example by this crafty mum!

Shoe storage to LEGO pouch
For those low on space, find a clear shoe storage hanger and pack LEGO pieces into each pocket. Easy to find, simple to put away.
Hack the hardware store
With loads of small compartments, tool and fishing tackle boxes – usually plastic and easily found at hardware stores – are great ways to store different pieces.
Change up clear containers
Kmart sells cheap clear containers in the kitchen section intended for pasta, cereals and biscuits. Ditch the carbs and opt for LEGO instead! These make for colourful and robust ways to stack and store your LEGO. You can even reuse old flour containers for different sets or pieces.
Grab a mat
There are specific LEGO mats built for play and storage, but to use what you’ve got, simply grab a fitted sheet, lay it out for play and pull it together when you're done, looping a ribbon around the top to secure it altogether.
Showcase your minis
They often get lost in the mix, but Minifigures can inspire a whole creation! Use a frame, a board and some pieces as "ledges" to show off and store your minis as an artwork, like this crafty creator has done!
