Go snorkelling on a freshwater reef in Vanuatu
The South Pacific conjures up images of white sandy beaches, beautiful clear waters and paradise on earth and Havannah Harbour in Vanuatu is home to all that. Turtle Reef Vanuatu offer snorkelling trips to the area for one of the most pristine underwater experiences on the island.

Havannah Harbour is just a 45 min drive north of Port Vila but feels like a world away. Turtle Reef are one of the only operator's in the area so guests get to enjoy this slice of paradise without any crowds.
There is a private island close by that holds great significance to the locals because of its fresh water supply. Due to its value there are no plans for it to be sold or built up for tourism. The fresh water is also the reason the reef is so good. The fresh water is much cooler so when it mixes with the salt water is keeps the temperature down so as not to spoil the reef.
For those not keen on getting their toes wet the vessel has a glass bottom, so everyone gets a good look underwater. Catriona was not going to miss out though and was keen to jump straight in to enjoy the view underwater.
After her snorkelling Catriona was on a high which was certainly heightened by the prospect of shopping — her favourite pastime. The local ladies travel over to the island daily to sell their wares and Treens was only too happy to oblige.
The day ends at the Wahoo bar and Restaurant which is famous for its fresh seafood and locally grown beef.
