Highlights:
David began his journey in the enchanting city of Bruges, often called the "Venice of the North" due to the network of picturesque canals. Adding a 4 day extension to the start of his trip was a fantastic way to delve deeper into one of Belgium's oldest and most romantic cities.
Bruges city centre is a World Heritage site with a rich history. From its commercial past as a major trading hub to its unique architecture, including the Gothic town hall and grand market square. No tour of Bruges would be complete without a tasting of Belgian beer and a visit to a specialty chocolatier, where David learned the secrets of turning cacao beans into delicious Belgian pralines, with samples of course.
The ultra-luxurious, and very elegant 'Space-Ship' Scenic Pearl was David's home for 15 days, and with up to five dining experiences and premium drinks included, it was set to be a truly indulgent and comfortable cruise. On his first night David was invited to Portobellos, an exclusive and intimate dining venue, for a 5 course menu with matched fine wines.
