We've heard a lot about some of the dirtiest areas on planes, but now the airlines that boast the cleanest rating have been revealed.

According to the Skytrax World Airline Awards, Taiwanese airline EVA Air has the cleanest planes in the sky.

The awards are based on ratings of the standard and quality of cleanliness in the aircraft cabin for airlines.

Traveller ratings are judged based on cleanliness and presentation of seat areas, tables, carpets, cabin panels and washrooms, which all contribute towards the final results.

Qantas Airways was the Cleanest Airline in Australia/Pacific 2025, but landed in 18th place overall.

In addition to that ranking, the airline was also named World's Best Economy Class Airline for the second consecutive year and won World's Best Inflight Entertainment for the second time in three years.

In the overall list, it placed behind Qatar Airways, which was named best in the world for a record ninth year. Qatar was also named Best Airline in the Middle East, World's Best Business Class, and Best Business Class Airline Lounge.

Just behind was Singapore Airlines in second place overall, also receiving the award for World's Best Cabin Crew, along with World's Best First Class and the Best Airline in Asia.
