A passenger has shared the moment she scored an upgrade to Business Class on a recent British Airways flight – due to a case of mistaken identity.

Sharing the tale on her TikTok, traveller Sophie was over the moon when she seemed to have been randomly picked for an upgrade.

But then she realised that it might have been down to the fact that cabin crew members mistook her for Lionesses soccer star Chloe Kelly.

"So I got a free upgrade to Business and the air hostess thought I was Chloe Kelly," Sophie, who happened to be wearing a England soccer jersey, said.

In the clip, which you can watch above, a flight attendant can be heard asking: "Were you playing the other night? You look like the girl who scored."

"Chloe Kelly? You think so? That's the best compliment you could possibly give me that. I'll take that," a clearly shocked Sophie responds.

Showing off her spacious seat, plus the free toiletries, eye mask, and socks she received, she adds: "Is this what it's like to be Chloe Kelly?"

"Honoured," she concluded in the caption.

The England women's soccer team won the Euro 2022 final on Sunday, defeating Germany 2-1, during which Chloe Kelly became a hero as she scored the final goal in extra-time.

Others mused over her TikTok handle which is @irrelevantsophie, writing: "You're relevant! Even more than ever!"

It is the complete opposite scenario when compared to that time Olympic gymnast Simone Biles was mistaken for child and offered colouring book on flight.
